In 2001 I embarked on a journey with the internet. My website was born and has gone through many variations in between. We are now moving forward again.
This site will aim to allow me to share photographic insights and developments along with selections from my portfolio. I enjoy uploading previous content as it allows the visitor to see development and adjustments in my style and concepts.
We all have our journey in this life. I write this in May of 2022 and shudder to think of how life has changed for you. My personal story is mine and not yours and hence does not have meaning for you. We have all had trials and tribulations in the last couple of years and I wish you strength and courage to work through whatever you may be dealing with at this time.
Photography for me is a pro level hobby. I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy it purely from creation and expression with little financial implications. I have, and do, produce imagery for stock galleries, headshots for local theaters and friends and family based photo shoots.
My next artistic phase that I plan will be into mono capture and presentation soley. Not color capture and monochrome presentation but running the whole process simply from a mono perspective.
Gear: Various cameras are in use generally. I generally shoot with Canon SLR’s when with the gear, my new Fuji X100V as my planned travel and walkaround camera and the iPhone when without any gear.
When making photos the photographer selects elements from the world around them to ‘show’ you while, often, ‘seeing’ the world in a different way. The images that we present for viewing have ways of transporting one in time and place. I hope that your reflections during your visit to this site are peaceful, memorable and profound for you.
